HJCC - Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow

Hey readers,

A day late and a dollar short I guess, my sincerest apologies!

So let's just get right to it! For this weeks challenge the them was Let It Snow. I used two coats of Sinful Colors Midnight Blue, then on my ring finger I painted on a coat of Nail Junkie. Once all my nails dried I used Nail Art Stamping Image Plate QA19 and my white stamping polish. On all my other nails I used my doting tool and the white stamping polish and made it look like snow on all my nails.

Here's how it turned out:

I have to say I was so so so excited for this challenge and thought wow this one is going to be super easy! Uh if anything to me I feel like it was a total flop, I'm not 100% thrilled with how they turned out at all. I tried stamping these cute little snowflakes that were on my stamping plates that I most recently got and for the life of me I couldn't get the images to transfer! Any tips or tricks anyone would like to share, I'm lucky if I just get one image to transfer. I get so jealous of all you other ladies who do such gorgeous stamping... I guess I need more practice, I don't know?

I also got quite a bit of nail mail over the weekend and while I was out sick that I will be posting about tomorrow if time permits.

I'd love to hear your thoughts as to how my nails turned out, please feel free to comment!

Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

Xo Brit

  2. I like these! Maybe not what you envisioned but definitely not a fail!

As for the images not picking up, which stamper are you using? I know people prefer the konad stamper over others. I've also read that gently filing the top of the stamper can help to pick up images (some people are against this but I did it with my stamper and at least I didn't ruin it). The polish you use also plays a big role as well as the speed in which you try to pick up the image since sometimes plates are too shallow and the polish dries quicker. Also, some images may just be defective.

    1. Thank you both!

Kat - I'm using the stamper from MASH and I also read about like filing the stamper lightly and tried that, but to no avail. I'm also using special nail polish that I bought on BornPretty.com. Do you put a lot of polish on the stamper? Also when you use the scraper do you use metal or plastic and do you press down hard.

      Any advice is much appreciated!

      Thanks!
